I’m helpless to do anything
My heart breaks to see the pain in your eyes.
I watch as you put up a front. 
How I hate this helpless feeling.
I gather you in my arms and hold you tight
Words are whispered, trying to sooth your pain.
Your tears fall, as do I mine.
Know that no matter what I love you.
